Sara Anderson, Ed. S.

College of Biomedical Sciences

Ms. Anderson started teaching Biology labs while an undergrad at Ohio State, and has been part of the education world ever since. She has experience teaching middle school students through professionals in the international corporate world. She loves showing anyone and everyone that they have the ability to become a scientist. Ms. Anderson holds a B.S. from Ohio State in Biology with an emphasis in Microbiology, then returned to her home state to earn a M.S. in Secondary Education at Indiana University. Most recently, she completed her Education Specialist degree at Northern Kentucky University. Ms. Anderson is certified to teach all four PLTW Biomedical Science pathway courses in addition to AP Biology and Chemistry. She also serves as a Khan Academy Ambassador and is in the current cohort for UK’s Next Generation Leadership. Outside of teaching, Ms. Anderson’s favorite thing to do is spoil her niece and nephew and spend time with her sisters. She can give you too many recommendations for books to read and true crime podcasts to listen to. She enjoys crafting with yarn to make her Netflix binges feel productive
